MLB All-Time HR Record

do you think Bonds will break it this year since he has stated he is done after this season? Would you even want to see him break it. I wasn't alive when Aaron set the new all-time mark, but was there this much pressure on him when he was gettin closer to the record during that time span?

He said hes gonna keep playing after this year Oar(I posted the article inside the other thread on about page 3). The only factor would be his knees. If they dont work for him he will give it up.

As for the question, of course I want to see him break the record. While Aaron has the record, I feel like longevity was the reason he has the record. Guys like Mays and Williams could have probably broken Ruth's record in their time but didnt. While I feel that Aaron was a great hitter, I dont feel like he was the greatest homerun hitter and I dont think the record is as special as some make it out to be. I believe that .400 and 56 are the two records that are held above all of the others.

Going by last years stats, Bonds needs around 345 at bats. Im not sure if he will gat that many but if he is healthy, you can bet he will play in 07.

Not gonna happen. I also put a big if on breaking Ruth's HR mark, I really don't think his knees will hold up long enough.

I have no idea man, he was just in the audience....The audience found out who he was and they started chanting Ozzie Ozzie. It was pretty funny.

I have been an Aaron fan starting in 1957. He has been an outstanding player. I,too, hope that the HR record stays with him. I have been a long time Brave fan. I still like those names of the late '50's (Aaron, Mathers, Span, Burdette, Adcock, Logan, N. Jones, Dale Crandall and Wes Covington). i can't remember all of them.
